Description
A quick workup of height comparisons between horses and their humans. The horse typically weighs 9 to 10 times as much as a human, and their bodies take up a proportionally larger volume of space. My old horse, a half-Arabian, was a "light" horse, and yet she weighed 1000 pounds in her prime and her head alone weighed nearly 50 pounds. Keep that in mind when designing a human into the picture with your horse. Even ponies can be heavy - 400-600 pounds depending on the breed and how fat they've gotten.
Draft breeds are ginormous - even if they aren't much taller than a heavy saddle horse, they weigh close to a ton and their heads are huge and massive. Warmbloods are also very robust in size as are many modern Quarter Horses.
I'll stash this under scraps once I make something a bit more "finished". Hope it is helpful.
