Diamant - Color

All-rightie! After a rousing session of Iron Kingdoms RPG, I got home too tired to do much but I'd drunk too much tea to go to bed early. So, I hauled out my Koi watercolors and started in coloring Diamant, the dusk unicorn royal from 's manga story, The King's Portent. Then I had to scan him in and tweak the colors, then I needed a nice background, and then... well, he's done for now, I think.

I was pondering some kind of Sabino markings, but instead he turned out to be a pale grulla (black) dun with frosting in his mane and tail, a dorsal stripe, and stripes on his hocks.

His parents were of the warrior caste and so were *very* surprised by this fellow when he was born.
Father: "Um, were you sired during the Light Time, dear?"
Mother: "Er, yes... were you?"
Father: "Er... yes..."
And so it goes.


He stands 17 hands and weighs about the same as your average Hanoverian.
