Got to chatting with :icondiinzumo: about Caz's potential mounts once Warpath gets too aged for heavy work. We batted some thoughts around and I got taken with the idea of a Cryxian-bred horse. Any excuse to draw an equine character. :D This is my thought on a horse contaminated with dragonblight -- a "Scharde Isle Charger" as it were.

Let's see, he's tall, strong, and omnivorous. Maybe a bit more carnivore than omnivore. :o Probably would be a good idea to keep him well-fed, too.

Thoughts on color-scheme are welcome. Since he's got black dragon blight, he probably is shades of black and charcoal, but he could be pretty much any color, really.

 !! I did a doodle of the same thing after we posted, but mine was OOGLY. This is great!
Ooo, great minds and all that!! Hey, blight can be very Ooogly. Wanna see! Or do a blend of the two? This fellow still looks like a horse (mostly), but some might be a lot more draconic and spiny (and toothy). :D
Mine looked like a cross between a short-bodied Suffolk Punch and a dragon. Tail was a lot spikier, though I like what you did with this one. Same claws, same scales on the shoulders and haunches, same spikes on the mane. Mine had a wider, more dragonlike mouth and more teeth, though.
Um, that thing is HUGE! That is Cazz walking along in front there?

Um, as I said else where, the "Blighted Template' doesn't blast the persons or critters charisma. I'd have thought something more along the lines of D&D Gorgon, the metal plated bull thing. *shrug*

Yah, keeping something like that very well fed would be a top priority!
The Suffolk is a sturdy horse, for sure - going draconic would do interesting things to it, I'm sure. :D I love it when we can do ESP-art!! :boing: I was thinking of all the Everblight beasties and how they get these cool body-scales that double as armor. A bigger mouth like a dragon would definitely put it at the "carnivore" end of the food chain. ;)

Caz: "He'll eat us out of house and home."
Sunset: "But we don't 'ave a regular home!"
Caz: "Let me put it this way, do you want to pay Maggie for all the horses in her stable, when we put him up at her place?"
Sunset: "Hmm, that might get expensive. Wait! We could stable 'im with the folks we don't like!" :evillaugh:
Yep, he's probably over 6 feet tall at the withers. No, that's the horse-dealer walking at his head. He may be missing a finger or two, as well. :XD:

Oh certainly this horse has high charisma - and spines, armor, claws, teeth. I could give a blighted horse horns, too, that would be cool.

Of course, a horse like this might be perfectly capable of feeding himself... :ohnoes:
Caz: "Might I mention that he isn't at all subtle in appearance?"
Sunset: "Feh! That's what disguise spells're for!"
Caz: "What about the heavy Khadoran charger over there? The black one with the blue...? Really shiny?"
Sunset: "Ooo! Shiny? Where?"
Caz: *Phew!*
And here we see how blight affects the ecology of those things around it. By this example we can already tell that blight has been in the region for some time, more likely contaminating the water source thereby spreading to all manor of creatures.

Nice Blight!
Heh-heh, Caz made his "Distraction" check! :D
Thanks! I'm sure the horse is thinking, "what blight?" :D
